Landowners & Charities
C&NMDS has been established since 1982 and we would like to think our Club in a small way plays it’s part within the community in helping to raise funds for various charities and organisations. With the kind permission from local landowners donating some of their land we are able to organise metal detecting rallies for any charities favored by landowners, e.g.

Charities e.g. Macmillan Cancer Support, Barnardo’s and overseas aid, animal welfare etc.

Local projects e.g. church restorations, local hospitals and listed buildings etc.
We generally like to provide to the landowner a rally report, giving details and images of the days activities.
Since 2003 our rallies have raised over £90,000 for well-deserved causes.
We would like to add that none of these proceeds would be possible without the full co-operation and friendliness of the landowners and farming community for whom we are forever grateful.
All our members participate in this recreational hobby for the sole purpose of interest, pleasure and fund-raising activities. They are responsible detectorists and are fully conversant with the law as it applies to our hobby and the Treasure Act. It is mandatory for all our members to have Liability Insurance usually provided through our Club to the National Council for Metal Detecting (NCMD)
